The  Park and Recreation Master Plan serves as a strategic blueprint for developing, managing, and enhancing parks, recreational facilities, and open spaces within a community. It is designed to meet the evolving needs of residents while promoting healthy lifestyles, environmental sustainability, and community engagement. This comprehensive document outlines a long-term vision and provides actionable steps to ensure that recreational spaces remain accessible, inclusive, and adaptable to changing demographics and trends.

The plan considers current assets, community input, future growth projections, and best urban planning and recreation management practices. It sets goals and priorities to optimize the use of existing spaces, identifies opportunities for new park development, and promotes innovative approaches to recreation programming.

Ultimately, the Park and Recreation Master Plan is a key component in fostering a high quality of life by enhancing public health, supporting environmental stewardship, and building stronger, more vibrant communities through the thoughtful design and use of recreational spaces.

On September 26, 2024, the Jurupa Area Recreation and Park District adopted the Master Plan. The document can be viewed here
